  39. Sounds like you just don't have the cross-dos configured to read the
  40. "external" drive. I assume you're talking about a Syquest or Bernoulli or
  41. something like that. If the settings in the cross-dos file in DOSdrivers
  42. does not exactly and perfectly match the actual settings that the drive was
  43. formatted with on the PC, the Amiga will think it's an ndos disk, and will
  44. not read it.

  46. Oh, by the way, make sure you're formatting the disk as FAT, not NTFS, and
  47. keep your filenames 8.3. The Amiga CrossDOS will only work with FAT, and
  48. won't handle long filenames.
